Recall ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal bookmarking app that lets you save links, images, and videos from any app into one organized library. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We do not receive or store your password.

Content You Save: Links, images, videos, titles, descriptions, tags, and notes that you save to Recall. This is your personal content and is only accessible to you.

Uploaded Media: Images you upload are stored in secure, user-scoped storage buckets. Only you can access your uploaded files.

Device Information: We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Recall service
  • To authenticate your account via Google or Apple Sign-In
  • To generate AI-powered tags for your saved content
  • To sync your data across your devices
  • To process subscription payments through Apple's App Store

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the Recall service to you.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with row-level security enabled. This means your data is isolated — no other user can access it. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: Used solely for authentication.
  • Supabase: Database and file storage provider.
  • Superwall: Manages subscription paywalls. No personal data is shared with Superwall beyond what is required to manage your subscription status.
  • Apple App Store: Handles all payment processing for subscriptions.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Your saved content is private to you.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is yours — and so is the decision to remove it. You can delete your account at any time directly from the Profile tab in the app. No emails, no support tickets, no hoops to jump through.

When you delete your account, we delete everything. That means:

  • Your profile and account information
  • Every bookmark, link, and note you ever saved
  • All uploaded images and media files from storage
  • Your collections, tags, and AI-generated data

This is a permanent, irreversible deletion — not an archive, not a soft delete. Once it's gone, it's gone. We do not retain backups of individual user data after deletion.

If you are not ready to delete your account but want to remove specific content, you can delete individual bookmarks or collections from within the app at any time.

7. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Privacy is not a feature we added — it is how we built Recall from the ground up. We believe the things you save are deeply personal. They reflect what you care about, what you are learning, and what matters to you. That is not data we want to monetize. It is data we want to protect.

We will never show you ads. We will never sell your data. We will never share what you save with anyone. Your library is private, encrypted in transit, and isolated from every other user on our platform. The only person who will ever see your saved content is you.

If we ever make changes to how we handle your data, we will be transparent about it. You deserve to know exactly what happens with your information — and with Recall, the answer is simple: nothing you did not ask for.

8. Children's Privacy

Recall is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data associated with your account
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your saved content

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
